Snake Story in Box Elder Destroys Large Boa
In Millard Dillman’s quarry yard a robins’ alarm led to discovery of a large bowlsnake stretched on a limb. Millard shot the snake, killing it. Kenneth Perry examined the carcass and found two young robins inside the snake’s stomach, which had swallowed them for breakfast. Millard notes the tree is a box elder about two and a half feet in diameter, posing the mystery of how the snake climbed it.

Anna Elizabeth Pearson born January 21, 1864 in Janesfield Ohio, died July 17, 1985 near Caldwell Idaho at age 71. She married Ezra G. Pearson November 13, 1887 at home of her parents, raised five children Clarence L, Claud Joseph, Mary J Wilkerson, Charles H, Mae Jones preceded in death. After moving to northeast Iowa then Boise Valley Idaho, she lived most of her life with her husband, a pioneer minister. Survived by husband, five children, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers and one sister.

Dunhams Return From Western Tour with Rocks
Mr and Mrs L K Dunham and Miss Irene Miller returned home after two weeks visiting Denver relatives and western sights. They recalled Pioneer Days in Cheyenne rodeo sights and visits to Estes Park and Colorado Springs to view flood damage. They brought back three rock specimens including petrified wood from the National Petrified Forest and granite from Moffitt tunnel site.
