Fortieth Wedding Anniversary for Rylander Couple
On July 24 1901 a wedding at the Chas G Johnson farm near LeGrand united Gertie Rylander to John F Rylander. The ceremony was performed by John H Hadley. About forty relatives and friends gathered at the Sloat home Ferguson for greetings and a cafeteria dinner. Distant guests from Oneida Illinois Idaho and Story City joined local kin to celebrate and present gifts as signs of goodwill. The afternoon included farm crops and livestock viewing before attendees departed Monday morning.
