Treasury Agent Offered 25000 to Kill President Ford
A Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms undercover agent was offered 25000 to kill President Ford. Rex D. Davis testified that the suspect was arrested the day after the offer, linked to an August September St Louis visit where a man with a .45 pistol was spotted on a Kiel Auditorium catwalk. No link to the offer was proved. Davis also said an informer provided details about a militant group contact. The felon was armed with three high powered rifles and a possible automatic weapon.
