New Weekly Bible Feature To Start In Constitution
Dr Roy N Smith, Methodist church leader and Christian Advocate editor, will write a new weekly feature for The Jayton Constitution starting Friday. The article follows International Council of Religious Education outlines and the Uniform Lesson Committee aims, reflecting lessons used by 40 denominations and taught in 90 percent of Sunday schools nationwide. Smith, a prolific author and journalist, has long contributed features, editorials, and reports for major papers and writes over 8000 words weekly. The Uniform Lesson outlines date to April 18 1872 when Protestant Sunday School forces first unified a national curriculum.
