Rezoning Proposal For Metal Fabricator Near Rock Island
Lawton planning commissioners heard Sam Ard of the Lawton Industrial Foundation present a plan to rezone a Rock Island Railroad site between A and B Avenues from light industrial to heavy industrial. Ard said Oklahoma Iron and Metal would construct a plant and an artist sanctuary hopes to develop the site.

The notices cover thefts of tape decks, tapes, identification cards, license plates, calculators, rear tires, money from a jukebox, a forged check, a torched or damaged area, and a shooting incident at 717 S Sheridan Road. A 49-year-old Lawton man was arrested.
