House Senate energy policy conference shapes policy
A House Senate conference committee will decide the final form of a national energy policy. The House approved its measure 255 to 148 after eight months of work and 10 days of debate. The plan would roll back oil price controls over five years and impose ceiling limits on domestic oil while allowing the White House to raise prices for hard to drill oil from offshore and Arctic sources.
