Former FBI Agent Seeks Sanctions for Cold War Book
Robert J. Lamphere, a former FBI counterintelligence specialist, seeks government clearance to publish a book on Cold War spy cases. The draft chapter reportedly discusses breaking a Soviet code and is under review by the Interagency Classification Review Committee amid NSA objections. Lamphere says he will publish, possibly with heavy censorship, regardless of the decision.
