The Lawton PTA Council will host a regional leadership workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 30 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church. Free workshop funded by state and national dues. A nursery will be provided and lunch offered at Wade's Cafeteria. All PTA officers and chairmen urged to attend.

The Officers Wives' Club hosts a coffee and luncheon to honor Mrs. Donald R. Keith wife of the Fort Sill Post commander. Sherry will be served at 11 30 a m and the luncheon starts at noon. Mrs Helen Clifford Mooney portrays Mrs Puffer in a costume program and has theatre credits. Luncheon chairs are Mrs Lewis L Feaster with fall decorations planned.
Eighth district Auxiliary president visited the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5263 at the VFW Post Home in Ardmore. She congratulated the group on its programs, announced a district meeting in Marlow on Nov 21, and was presented with a gift. New members joined and plans were announced for a corn bread and bean dinner on Oct 23, plus events for Veterans Day and beautification efforts at the Post Home.
