House Panel Expands Deductions For Legislators Tax Benefits
The House Ways and Means Committee voted to extend away from home business expense deductions for federal and state legislators. If enacted the daily $44 deduction would replace the current $3000 yearly cap, applying when lawmakers are in session or meeting away from home.
