Lawton received over 30000 in unspent 1970 surplus funds for police improvements. A September 1 deadline was set to request unspent money and officials said the city would apply remaining funds to new communications systems.
Special District Judge John Taylor presided over hearings on drug counts for two defendants Grattafiori and Vanisko. A third man who failed to appear is being sought.
