A Fort Sill resident reports a robbery in the 2500 block as two Black men armed with a knife demanded change for $5. One assailant wore a white hat with blue stripes and the other a beige turtleneck sweater, stealing about $50.
Judge Pat Pate of Poteau ruled Oklahoma cannot extradite attorney Ed McConnell 28 to Arkansas on a perjury charge. McConnell represented Charles Herring 30 in a Fort Smith trial where two witnesses admitted lying. The Sebastian County grand jury indicted McConnell in November 1972.
