Silica Recounts Long Hours on Watergate Tapes
Silica testified that she did not erase tapes unknowingly and described the long hours she worked on the Watergate tapes from Saturday morning through Sunday, then again on Monday. A section of the June 20 tape was played in judge's court, highlighting a continuous 18 minute 15 second hum. Requests to relisten to the tape to capture conversations between Nixon and Ehrlichman left open the chance a court reporter may produce a transcript.
