Duncan Police FOP Delivers Six Point Demand to City Manager
Four representatives of the Duncan FOP lodge met with City Manager Theron Camp and presented a six point program. Proposals include direct police budget representation, time and a half for court appearances, night shift pay boosts, on duty injury policy changes, and full salary during recuperation. The FOP cites inherited problems and urges city leaders to act in the will of the citizens.

Specialist Earns Sill Soldier of the Month Honor
Alan Shults, 26, of Bakersfield California, in Fort Sill Oklahoma, named Soldier of the Month for May by Maj. Gen. David Ott. He serves as assistant supervisor of a six man 105 mm towed howitzer gun crew with A Battery, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Field Artillery. He previously served in Vietnam, earned an associate degree, and plans to continue his education. He and his wife Judy have two sons.

Patrolman Fired for Alleged Narcotics Use in Lawton
Lawton patrolman Kevin Worcester 22 was fired by Chief Alford Hennessee after narcotics division findings. An informant alleged Worcester and the man smoked marijuana in Worcester s car and Worcester offered to smoke with the informant. Narcotics detectives reported another incident involving three one ounce bags found by a resident. Worcester turned in two bags to the station. He joined as a cadet January 1 1971 and became an officer August 27 1973.

Boys to view MAST program at Fort Sill display
Lawton Boy's Club members will tour Fort Sill Henry Post Field to learn about Military Assistance to Safety and Traffic. The 4th Platoon 307th Medical Company MAST unit will display equipment for 30 to 35 boys. UH-1 Huey and other Army aircraft will be shown along with a Department of the Army film and static aircraft displays.
