Nursing Home Order Maintained After Storm
The owner of Joseph's Nursing Home and Convalescence Center kept orderly evacuation after a small tornado struck the facility at 61st and Cache Road. The roof collapsed on the southwest wing, 80 residents were relocated, some to local churches and relatives, with 10 hospital admissions none seriously injured. Fire and police managed crowds and kept lines of sight seers away as power failed and traffic controls went dark.
