Oklahoma vineyard project yields first tiny grape clusters
Atoka County Oklahoma reports tiny grape-like clusters on vines planted mid March for the self help program aiding welfare families. Officials say clusters may be premature but indicate growth as 38 acres on 160 acre tract are tended by volunteers with 60,000 more cuttings planned. Ten families will live on the land, repay loans, and eventually own the property as they harvest grapes in three to four years.
