Rains Boost Comanche County Wheat Prospects
Gerald Hollander of the Soil Conservation Service said Comanche County received 4.15 inches of rain in the past week, easing drought concerns and improving wheat prospects. While some spots received too much moisture and creeks flooded, overall the rain benefited alfalfa and pasture lands and could yield good crops if temperatures stay moderate until harvest.
