Dairy prices seen rising as government boosts farm supports

Washington reports that milk butter and cheese prices paid to farmers will increase to offset rising production costs. The floor for milk rises to 9.43 per 100 pounds, butter to about 1.09 a pound, and cheese to slightly over 1.03 a pound, with non fat dry milk at 71 cents. Retail prices may rise 4 to 6 percent in 1978, reflecting higher marketing costs and food price trends.
