Second Candidate Declines Cache Board Appointment
Pyron reported that a second candidate declined a Cache County council seat, mirroring last week’s refusal by another nominee. He aims to move quickly to appoint someone acceptable to the community who will responsibly serve. Governor Boren has reviewed suggested hopefuls and consulted with residents as part of the process. The Comanche County town has two vacancies on its three-member council since March 6, with the governor appointing one member, and the mayor plus the remaining councilman selecting the third.
