Hearings Set In Ballot Case In Oklahoma
Oklahoma City AP reports the state Supreme Court scheduled a 1:30 p.m. Tuesday hearing on Edwin Garrison’s bid to have his name restored to the May 5 Democratic primary ballot for state Senate from counties Custer Dewey and Roger Mills. The Election Board had removed his name for nonregistration, leaving incumbent Sen. Ed Berrong with no Democratic opponent. Garrison’s counsel argues the board ignored evidence and acted arbitrarily, seeking to restore the ballot position.
