Senator Knowland urged general tax reductions in 1998 including corporate income taxes and excises. He predicted Congress would seek an overall budget surplus enabling personal income tax cuts while extending or reducing War era levies on goods such as automobiles and certain excises. He warned lawmakers to prepare to cut taxes across the board and put the house in order.

Funeral rites for Mrs Chio W Nah wooksy about 76 are slated for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Frown church south of Lawton. She died Friday in a local hospital and was born in the Wichita mountains west of Lawton. Surviving are son Fred Nah woosky Walters a brother Fred Chermah Walters three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Burial will be in Walters cemetery under direction of Pearson Funeral home Walters.
