Missing $30,000 Sparks FBI internal flap in New York
A $30,000 missing from an FBI evidence vault in Brooklyn triggers internal questioning and lie detector tests for at least four agents. The case traces to a 1968 Long Island City bank robbery by Ravich Wetzel McConnell Zuber and associates, with money recovered in Baton Rouge and later miscounted or misplaced during transfer to the U.S. attorney.
