Washington AP Rep Daniel J Flood demands Marines wear dress blues at all times during public appearances. He told olive-clad witnesses at a closed House Appropriations subcommittee hearing that Marines must look the part and dress in blue wherever they appear in public.
Bud Felker Christie, 40, a Stratford Oklahoma native, died Sunday when his car crashed near Casper. Funeral services will be in Stratford.
The 97 by 46 foot contour map of Oklahoma is being built by Gardner Displays for the New York World's Fair exhibit. The map uses foam sections, real water in river plumbing, and miniature Lawton models to depict Oklahoma as it will appear in 1970, with a park like pavilion and lakes to soften the dust bowl image.
The aviation trade journal Aviation Week says the supersonic jet All has flown long range reconnaissance missions over Communist territory. Officials would not comment. one source says the All has not flown such missions. The All, developed for five years, was unveiled by President Johnson on Feb 29. Defense officials praised the secrecy kept by the trade journal. The Journal claims speeds up to 2300 mph and sustained speeds near 2000 mph, possibly intended to replace the U2.
