Army medics honored during Sill homecoming
MEDDAC personnel who saved lives on the front lines were honored at a Reynolds Army Community Hospital homecoming ceremony. Col. Greer praised their selfless service and noted Iraq’s improved medical infrastructure due to their work. A list of honorees includes Lt Cols Agin Lovins Schmidt and many captains and specialists supporting OIF.

Mystical Arts of Tibet visit to Duncan Center
The Drepung Loseling monks from Tibet will perform Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing at the Simmons Center in Duncan on Saturday at 7 p.m. The two hour program blends sacred songs and dances with a 20 minute intermission. Tickets are 15 dollars for adults and 10 dollars for students 18 and under.

Lawton man to stand trial for cab driver slaying
Delarenta K. Burton, 20, was ordered to stand trial on first degree murder charges in the January 6 killing of John Thomas Lamb, 38, a Busy Bee Cab Co. driver found shot inside a cab at Fox Valley Apartments. Burton waived a preliminary hearing and also faced separate burglary and robbery counts. If convicted, he faces life in prison or the death penalty.

Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma Injury Prevention Program is selected to present at the National Lifesavers Conference in Chicago March 24 to 28. The campaign, in its first year, is among 37 entries chosen nationally and targets Native communities while aiming to influence broader audiences.
