Fat Stock Show Triumph At Comanche County Fair

About 100 FFA and 4 H youths entered animals for premium bids as the 1963 Comanche County Junior Fat Stock and Dairy show ended. Grand champion steer owned by Johnny Wray of the Cache 4 H club drew 400 dollars from Phillips Aubrey Chevrolet and Charlie Payne and will go to the state show in Oklahoma City. Premiums funded by Lawton businessmen helped offset show costs and raise sale value. Cash awards ranged up to 200 dollars with top bids from Wade’s, Cattlemen’s Cafeterias, and Hotel Lawtonian, while premiums and sale totals were expected to set a record.
