Wichita State crash report cites unstudied charts and perilous route
The NTSB ruled the WSU crash caused by intentional low level flight through a mountain valley near Loveland Pass after the pilot altered the route for sightseeing. Investigators cited failure to study aerial charts and warned FAA rules on charters and leases need tightening.
