Over 1 100 area children enrolled in the Teed Creane summer swim lessons with beginner classes for kids and separate sessions for advanced swimmers. The program runs five nights a week at Dos Due sports complex, with beginners in the full summer course and other divisions offered in the three city sections under supervision.

Tobie Bogan 34 a former Arn criminal investigator from Lawton is named Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation field agent becoming the first Negro in the state to hold the post. Born May 21 1919 in Waco Texas he enlisted at Fort Sill in 1935 rising to top criminal investigator and retired from the Army May 31 after 23 years service. He will report to the Oklahoma City office July 1 and said his application was approved after eight months of processing.
