Pvt. Juan Martinez a 22 year old National Guard trainee assigned to Battery D Specialist Training Battalion was arrested on post for first degree murder and armed robbery. He is accused of a January 1974 Chicago murder and an armed robbery indictment from March. Martinez arrived March 26 for training and faced transfer to his unit in Junction City Kansas after August 3 graduation.
