Navy launches consumer protection program for sailors
The Navy issued an order to all ships and stations outlining a Navy wide preventive consumer awareness program and legal help for personnel victimized by unscrupulous merchants or high interest loans. District commanders may place offending merchants off limits and must work with BBB state attorneys general and FTC regional offices while promoting thrift via credit unions.
