New Life After Surgery for Ida Hays in New York

Ida Hays 15 of La Grande Oregon underwent a 10 hour operation at New York University Hospital to repair orbital hypertelorism by narrowing eye separation and rebuilding the nose. The family raised funds locally and Ida spoke of a new life free from stares and taunts, planning a campout once home.
