Marine Recruiter Faces Panel Over McClure Enlistment
Harold Faulkner the Marine recruiter, now retired, will testify before the House Armed Services subcommittee on military procurement to explain why Lynn E. McClure with mental problems was enlisted. The inquiry focuses on two mental tests and possible quota pressure and falsified records. McClure died from head injuries after a boot camp pugil stick incident at San Diego.
