Judge Drops Charges Against Drill Sergeant
Fort Sill judge dismisses all charges against a Ft Leonard Wood drill sergeant accused of mistreating Army trainees. Dent from Columbia South Carolina faced seven specifications of unlawful money reception and maltreatment, plus confinement in a hot room. The court dismissed five charges and the remaining count due to lack of speedy trial. Dent will return to Ft Leonard Wood for duty as two other Ft Leonard Wood sergeants were tried. one acquitted and another pled guilty with reductions and pay forfeiture.
