Basil Moore, 36, is under a five year ban under the Suppression of Communism Act with no chance of appeal. He may not work, visit, or leave Johannesburg, and must police his own behavior as part of a form of house arrest shared by about 300 others. The ban stems from his involvement with anti apartheid groups and religious organizations.
