Colorado Land Rush On Tap
NUCLA Colo Law officers took positions in view today as more than 400 uranium prospectors prepared to file claims tomorrow after 10 a.m. for nearly 100 000 acres in southwestern Colorado. The land opening, the largest in state history, follows the Atomic Energy Commission return to public domain after nine years of exploration. Prospectors arrived with geiger counters drilling rigs and trucks with many carrying six guns. Rules limit each claim to 609 by 1500 feet and require a group departure at 10 a.m.
