Residency Ceremony Elevates 43 Into American Citizenship
Thirty nine Southwest Oklahoma residents became United States citizens in a Co manche County courtroom ceremony led by Chief District Judge Bill Roberts after oath administration by James Curry of INS Dallas. Recipients received bicentennial naturalization certificates and letters from President Ford. Names listed include Victoria Lagahit Prowse, Guillermina Suazo, Mathilde Burch, Song Cha Choe, Kien Miller, Thanh Long, Brigitte Marley, Amy Kysel, Stacey Cantrell, Sun Ja Bae and others from Ton Lawton area.

Waurika Reservoir Funding Approved for Southwest Oklahoma
Final funding of 21 million dollars was approved for the Waurika Reservoir project in the current fiscal year. The bill signed by President Ford provides for water storage, with construction beginning in 1971 and the dam expected to start holding water on August 30.
