Personnel Panel Upholds Discharge of Policeman
Lawton officials upheld the discharge of former city policeman Kevin Worcester by a 2-1 vote of the City Personnel Board. The case stemmed from marijuana allegations and an investigation by the narcotics division. Worcester faced claims of misappropriating evidence and bringing discredit to the department. The panel, chaired by Municipal Judge Bill Hensley, heard testimony from city and police officials, witnesses, and Worcester, with the decision reinforcing the supervisor’s firing action.
