Airport Board Pays Fee After Security Dispute
Lawton Metropolitan Area Airport Authority agreed to cover a $100 legal fee for Airport Manager Bill Cox who fought a city complaint filed by Willie Hopkins Jr. Cox faced a non licensed security service accusation, leading to a June dismissal after a judge sustained a demurrer. Hopkins, ex-city councilman, protested the case to City Council and Mayor Wayne Gilley.
