Wallace Hints On Debating Lindsay In Florida Primary
Wallace has not decided whether to debate John Lindsay in the Florida Democratic primary. Lindsay urged a one hour, man to man debate and suggested meeting in Montgomery while campaigning in West Palm Beach. Senate Leader Mansfield opposed Wallace while Muskie leads Kennedy in a Gallup poll. Kennedy predicted Nixon will set a withdrawal date from Vietnam as polls shift.
