Lincoln school will be eye tested this year under Principal Paul Prior. The nurse started the project last week and will continue until every child is tested. Parents will be notified if vision tests are defective with recommendations for further examination by an oculist or optometrist or county health department.
Cpl. Laverne Pennah a former Fort Sill Indian School student and noted Golden Glove boxer, received the Bronze Star for valor on November 29, 1952 at Port of Injo, Korea. He serves with K Company, 180th Infantry Regiment, 45th Division under Maj. Gen. David L. Ruffner. His mother Mrs. Jane P. Hendrix resides in Anadarko.
