After a 6 am reading of 40, temperatures dropped to 22 by 11 am, with little chance of rain as skies stay clear. County Agent Lewis Haydock warns a dry freeze could delay alfalfa, wheat and oats germination, but major damage hinges on duration and whether lows dip below 15 degrees.
