Lawton School Lunchrooms Expand Under New Cafeteria Plan
Over 1,700 Lawton children eat hot noonday meals in eight city lunchrooms with weekly totals rising in bad weather. A modern senior high cafeteria is planned for 1953, with junior high to follow. Schools rely on federal commodities and small budgets to serve balanced meals at 25 to 35 cents, while managers handle marketing and accounting locally.
