Chatty Church Starts Construction of Educational Annex
In Chattanooga a 50 by 25 foot annex is under construction for the local Presbyterian church to house two classrooms, a nursery, kitchen and bath. F C Minton leads the building fund as secretary, with Adam Bohl Logan Hyder Rodney Warner and Mesdames Walter Crow and Woodrow Patton on the committee. Dr John F Lamb, former Lawton pastor, serves as pastor. Thomas Ward of Lawton is the contractor.

State VFW Council Meet Slated Here
The Gen McNair Veterans of Foreign War Post 5263 and Auxiliary host a state VFW and Auxiliary council meeting in Lawton Oklahoma Sunday. George Morris and Peggy McCord of Oklahoma City will preside over sessions attended by over 100 members from across the state. A dance at Fort Sill VFW post Saturday precedes the Sunday program starting at 10 a.m. with a civil defense film and discussion led by Lt Col Richard A Eads Fort Sill.

Walters Planning New High School
Walters school officials will meet with Ardmore architect Harold Flood next week to discuss funding for a new high school building. Superintendent E. B. Cawood said a meeting date is pending. The district received 34653.12 in Indian land taxes held in escrow and added to the building fund. Flood designed the current school years ago.
