Zany Wonderful Year Promised For 1964 By Boyle
AP columnist HAL BOYLE surveys 1964 with a playful forecast. Khrushchev may draw Chinese-linked incentives closer, tax cuts spark partisan talk, Paris cabbies fund a tourist monument resembling de Gaulle, grain stored in bomb shelters, and two cold cures misfire. The piece ends with a punchy note on life remaining the sole thing worth living.

Victor Borge at Carnegie Hall falls short of expectations
UPI critic Rick Dubrow says Victor Borge's ABC special titled Victor Borge at Carnegie Hall felt overproduced and lacks his usual sophistication. A 16 member choir, pianist Leonid Hambro, and tenor Sergio Franchi tone down the act, leaving Borge's humor underused and the show lacking inspiration.
