Controversial 1913 Art Exhibit Draws Throngs
Thousands of Utica visitors explore a recreated 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art at the Munson Williams Proctor Institute. The exhibit rekindles debate on modern art while honoring the armory show’s 50th anniversary. Duchamp noted the shift to a global art view. Governor Rockefeller praised the idea and the show runs through March 31 before moving to New York City for an April 6 opening.
