Maj. Doyle W. Hastie of the Oklahoma Air National Guard says three loud booms and resulting shock waves over central Oklahoma were from jet planes breaking the sound barrier not an earthquake. Seismographs at UC Berkeley and St Louis University showed no quake activity. Weather Bureau confirms jet activity over roughly a 90 mile strip from Chickasha to Stillwater with no injuries or damage reported.
