Willis Gives Wright Quiz Little Chance
Oklahoma City AP House Speaker Bill Willis again snubs a Republican push to probe State Labor Commissioner Wilbur Wright. Rep. Charles Ford expects a resolution to be introduced today, but Willis will form a position only after seeing it. He questions the case if travel irregularities are the sole charge and cites Wright’s Jan 5 mileage claim during a severe ice storm. He doubts pressure from Gov. Hall and notes Wright refunded about 2700 dollars to avoid questions. He favors a broader interim study by a special committee on travel claims.
