Two for the Seesaw movie compared to stage version
The film Seesaw mirrors its 1959 McMahon Memorial stage origin with Shirley MacLaine as Gittel and Robert Wise directing. Jane Mitchum stars as Jerry Ryan opposite MacLaine, while Anne Bancroft’s stage role inspired the character. The drama follows an Omaha lawyer who seeks self and love in New York with a troubled ballerina.
