Genet Denies Wrongdoing In Handling Agency Funds

Former Oklahoma Commerce and Industry director Max Genet Jr. told KWTV he did nothing wrong with the department's funds amid a Senate investigation. Auditors note the Economic Development Commission had limited control over operations while Sav-age was paid over 24 000 as a consultant, much of which allegedly flowed to Genet’s accounts. Genet defends Savage as a respected consultant and says private calls and travel expenses were legitimate, pledging to cover any missed costs.
