Mitchell Leaves Federal Prison Camp on Medical Furlough
Former Attorney General John N. Mitchell left Maxwell Air Force Base on medical furlough to seek hip surgery evaluation. He must return by Jan 15 to complete a 1 year to 4 year Watergate related sentence and could be eligible for parole June 21. Mitchell travels with Ira De Ment and a city detective as witnesses watch.
