Water Contracts Approved In Waurika And Comanche
In a decisive Tuesday vote both cities approved Proposition 1 to contract with the Waurika Reservoir Conservancy District for water and reservoir facilities. Proposition 2, funding the indebtedness via ad valorem taxes and a sinking fund, also passed, enabling each city to share construction costs and secure long term water supply with projected rates and future bonds not required unless payments default.
