Fatal Car Truck Crash Claims Woman Near Chatta
A 40 year old Frederick woman Lula Gibson died on arrival at Tillman Memorial hospital after a three vehicle crash on S H 5 near a Y one mile west and two miles south of Chattanooga. Palmer 45 Wewoka driver of a 1940 Buick was seriously injured along with Wesley Slack 26 Oklahoma City in another fatality raising yearly highway deaths to 336. The crash occurred around 10 p.m. Tuesday when the Buick weaving east crossed center line sideswiping a fuel laden truck tractor. The Buick then veered into a bar ditch and reentered the road into a second fuel truck tractor. Further details and charges were pending.
